Ubat mata

Thank you friends....!!

A Visit to PCMC

Today marked another memorable day of my life....

My treatment and assessment for uveitis is still on weekly basis. As I'm going back to Malaysia for summer holiday, I need to look for a specialist in KL to continue the treatment and assessment; at the same time getting second opinion. I started browsing from 1 medical center to another, finding information about ophthalmologist who is specialist in uveitis.  With a very short list of ophtalmologists with uveitis subspecialist in hand, I've managed to get an appointment with the most sought-after ophthalmologist from Prince Court Medical Center (PCMC) - Prof. Dr. Muhaya. Alhamdulillah, an appointment is already secured with a most experienced ophthalmologist on 24/6/2014 at 11.30am.

(Note: PCMC website provide the functionality to request for appointment online)

Earlier today....

Arrived in PCMC at about 9.45am. Settled registration in less than 15 minutes. Need to do some assessment tests prior to consultation session with Prof. Dr. Muhaya.

I need to do more than 2 tests (the 2 usual tests usually done in RCMC).

It was about 1pm when my name was eventually called. Mixed feeling as I entered the consultation room - nervous, eager, excited, suspense.... finally managed to get a second opinion from my beloved country and from an opthalmologist that is soooo in demand for her ophthalmology expertise and motivational talks. I would say that within 30 minutes of consultation time, 50% of the time is for medical advices and another 50% is actually motivational talk.

A good doctor indeed!!

As for the uveitis I had, she said that my eyes are recovering... alhamdulillah... and I need to continue the same medication I brought from RCMC.

Prof. Dr. Muhaya even praised Dr. Fouad for the good treatment that he had been given me all this while. Alhamdulillah....

So, in another 2 weeks time, another appointment with Prof. Dr. Muhaya is waiting.... (mmmm... hope that I can have a photograph with her then... hehe...)

Alhamdulillah... thank you ya Allah... you make things ease for my treatment... and my eyes are responding well to the medication and are now recovering....
Thank you Prof. Dr. Muhaya for the non-medical advices you gave me.. insyaAllah I will push the best of me physically, spitirually and mentally...

Last day @ YIS

Last day of school, the most awaited day by the girls and meeeee!!! Girls are excited as it will be only half-day school session with partying, enjoying and photographing sessions. And mum is even more happier, summer holidays has eventually started!!!
Alisya's class had party, she requested for malaysian tradisional dishes. However, rejected by mum!! Hehe... Because mum is already preparing RV cupcakes for a different event... just bring the same one dear... Senang cerita...
So, a tray of 12 rv cuppies for alisya's class....

Anyway, on the same last day of school, the event that mum was involved with is participating for Teachers' Luncheon at YIS. PTO of YIS is the organising committee, served teachers with lunch as a way of expressing our gratitute towards all teachers of YIS for teaching our children.
I contributed some food: potato-cheese balls, chicken pie, jelly....

And with some good news coming from RC regarding YIS, mum happily add another menu: RV cake accompanied by few RV cuppies...

Banyaknya kena makan...

Allahu... Saat pertama kali berdepan dengan 6 pil sekaligus, rasa seperti ingin mencurah-curah air mata turun.... I can be assured that this is the only moment (so far insyaAllah) that I need to take up to 6 medicines at a time. How I feel so helpless to be in control by the medicines! Ya allah, please help me to go through this easily....

Selamat Jalan Wahai Sahabat

Masing-masing punyai agenda rancangan masa depan tersendiri... Sebak pasti terasa... Bukan tempoh penentu keakraban, namun wujudnya 'hubungan kekeluargaan' membuatkan hati menjadi sayu melihat kalian pergi...
Buat Nik dan Din, adik-adikku who has always had a special place in our heart... This could also be a reason for us to travel to your place.. Hehe... :)
MasyaAllah... Sometimes words can't just describe everything.... But I'm sure the memories remain fresh in our mind and our heart...!!

InsyaAllah... Sampai kita ketemu lagi...

After 1 week..

After a week taking 60mg of prednisolone tablet and drops of prednisolone acetate everyday, Alhamdulillah... inflammation subsided. My eyes are so much better now. Infact, my right eye responded faster towards the medication compared to left eye. My vision is getting better (reading at 1.0L/0.8R). With this good improvement, I don't require any injection to the eye. I only need to continue with the oral medication.
Alhamdulillah... Thank you Allah..!! Thank you to all that pray for my health.

Jamuan Akhir Sem. 132

Tinggal lagi 2 hari jek nak bekerja sebelum cuti summer yang panjangggg... Jadi hari ni jabatan kami buat jamuan akhir tahun (end of academic year). Jamuan secara potluck... Kaum negara lain memang la tak pernah nak mencuba pun... Setakat mencuit di hujung jari jek.. Haha...
Jadinya, inilah hasilnya dariku...

Anyway, dah habis semuanya alhamdulillah.... Memang kekenyangan dan mengantukkk... ZzzZzzZzz dulu... Bye...

[Health Info] Uveitis Recurs...

Approximately 6 months after I was diagnosed having Bilateral Intermediate Uveitis (refer to this entry .... http://ejalz.blogspot.com/2013/11/health-info-bilateral-intermediate.html?m=0).....
I have had my regular check-up with my opthalmologist yesterday (1/6/2014). He started by asking if I have any complain regarding the floaters in my eyes. Well, I do have complains... Firstly, the floaters are increasing from the past few weeks in both eyes... Secondly, my vision is getting cloudy... Meaning, I can see things but not so clear as though I'm looking through smoke...
Test began with visual acuity test... I don't exactly remember what the result was (maybe 0.6L/0.7R) but it was definetly not good because my eyes are immediately dilated (in previous normal check-up, the doctor would test using ophthalmoscope first and later dilated my eyes to confirm the results).
And yesterday, the test using ophthalmoscope were done twice for each eyes by Dr. Fouad! That already gave a bad indicator. And what made me felt even worst, when he requested for another consultant Dr. Mohamad to do the same test! Okay this rang some bell... This is exactly what happened 6 months ago when 3 different ophthalmologists, performed the test and came to the same conclusion - I had uveitis! And it happened again yesterday. After 2 different ophthalmologists performed the same tests, I knew that uveitis recurred!!
Ya Allah... It was a shocking news though expected... Shocked as Dr. Fouad said that both eyes are now equally in worst condition. Expected as my vision are worsen. I need to take oral steroid medication for a week. Next Sunday will be re-assessed. If the inflammation doesn't subside, both eyes needs to be treated aggresively. And by 'aggresive', meaning my eyes need to be injected with steroid - both eyes left and right! One at a time though, doctor said.
Dear Allah, please give me strength to face this condition for the second time. Dear Allah, please give me patience dealing with all the deficiencies.... Dear Allah, please forgive me for whatever 'dosa' that I've made... Please make ease every process of healing my eyes.... Only in you ya Allah that I trust...
